Accountancy firm Shaw Gibbs has formed its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) advisory committee.
Accountancy firm Shaw Gibbs has formed its first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) advisory committee.
The committee, which is led by Partner and Head of Audit, Steve Neal, will focus on ESG policy and strategy, assigning responsibility for implementation and the reporting of metrics. The goal is to become ‘ESG Excellent’ within the next 12 months.
The team will involve members from different areas of the business which have been split into three sub-groups covering the key ESG elements and they will provide feedback to the wider business via an annual report.
The ESG team and Shaw Gibbs are on a journey to improve the company’s impact environmentally, socially and in the way the business operates. An in-depth action plan is underway to provide significant improvements to the company’s performance as well as setting longer term ESG goals for the committee to work towards.
